life drawing

I told myself I wouldn't put up life drawing because who gives a crap about seeing life drawing on a blog. On the other hand I've seen blogs of illustrators that do, and they are very nice to look at...so I'm copying them.

I'm pleased with these given the time constraints every now and then, but they're still not at the level I'd like to reach. If only I had one more year (or two) of life drawing I'd be closer to where I want to be.

Not sure why I made the asian lady's ear (top) so big because it wasn't that big....I might post more in the near future.

story in less than 5 panels

We had to do a one page story in children's illustration class, all within 5 panels...and no words. I cheated but I didn't care because...because I just don't care...

And my children's illustration teacher is Dusan Petricic, he is a freaking good illustrator and I can only dream of being as good as him one day.

And the story is The Boy Who Cried Wolf.

Covers

These are my cover designs for Traditional Color for Illustration class. We were given a theme per assignment and we made a cover out of it. Its a pretty darn good class as I was learning how to paint and use color.

(The clouds in that sunset pic look horrendous, but I posted it up anyways because I'm somewhat pleased with the sunset.......and that caricature is of french actress Charlotte Gainsbourg....no one in my class knew who she was, tsk tsk)
